Leaving Your Mark, Leaving your Legacy.....
I have been a christian for many years, I have battled back and forth with my walk, but have never waivered in my faith. I have always had unbelievable faith, that could never be broken. I just believe, and that will never change. However, recently I really have started getting down to the facts of God, and really grasping some things that just don't jump off the page until you clearly dig into your faith. First, we are only here temporary. This is our temporary home, our temporary money, our temporary world. We are only here, to get to Heaven. There is a real thin line between our lives and the outer life. It doesn't seem so far off, but to a person who is lost it can be the most distant place on earth.I see people everyday that just do not live for God. I see people slandering one another, using vulgar signs while driving, cursing each other over who is getting to the next gas pump. Our lives are full of hatred, but there is one place that can fulfill all your wants and desires and that is Gods house. I am not a firm believer in you have to be in church to receive God's will, not at all because I used to carry that mentality, however, the only reason I used to say that was because I didn't want to go, I didn't want to have to have something else to do, another reason NOT to be lazy on Sunday. I used it as an excuse for many years, but to be honest, I never watched church on TV, I never really read my bible, I never had small bible study groups, so if I was not doing my own type of religious efforts and I was not going to church, then I was just NOT doing anything for God. God sits and he listens to our prayers day in and day out, and all we have to do is obey him, very hard at times. You have to step back and say okay am I the type of person that is going to blame God, or am I the type of person who is going to pick up my cross and follow God no matter what. You have to know that God is ultimately in control and he knows our lives before we ever came to this world. He knows what we are doing today and he knows what we will do tomorrow, so why hide from God, he already knows.God loves us unconditionally and he wants us to follow him, to be more like him. The hardest battle these days is living right. Everyone is fighting everyone, because no one has anything. It is hard to make enough money, to grocery shop, to buy gas, to save for retirement. The options of just living right, don't cross many peoples minds when the world is not so easy.Learn to be content and happy no matter how our world is and start focusing on the fact that we are only here to get to Heaven.God Bless, youUntil tomorrow,
